From Founder of Silvbreeze

I grew up in a family that didn’t have much. When I went to Osaka, Japan to study, I spent my days in class and my nights working in a restaurant to pay for tuition and rent. The cultural differences, the unfamiliar pace of life, the language barriers, and the physically demanding work left me with almost no time to sleep. Everyday life felt brutally hard.

One day, because I still wasn’t fully familiar with the workplace, I was injured on the job. The mix of physical exhaustion and mental pressure built up to the point where I almost decided to give up everything and go back home.

During that lowest period, the person who took care of me the most at the restaurant — someone I called “Mama,” the oldest and most capable woman on the team — didn’t blame me at all. Instead, she comforted me, placed a small omamori (a Japanese protective charm) in my hand, and said she hoped it would protect me and give me the strength to get through the hard days. That little charm wasn’t expensive, but it became a quiet source of strength that supported me for many years.

After nearly seven years of studying theatre, a bold idea began to take shape: to turn meaningful characters, symbolic objects, stories, and worlds from theatre and psychology into jewelry people can wear — small pieces that offer a sense of support and protection when they need it most, just like the omamori Mama once placed in my hand.

That’s why I created Silvbreeze — to honor the “Mama” who reached out to me at my lowest, and to pass on the same quiet strength that once carried me through.
